FEBRUARY

Alla Corte del Vino. San Casciano Val di Pesa, Villa Le Corti. It is an important exhibition of Tuscan wines at the historic Villa Le Corti. About 120 winemakers with 350 different labels. Preview of Tuscan Coast Wines. Lucca, Royal College of Lucca. 400 labels wine tasting, cooking shows, wine shop, art instalations and more. www.anteprimavini.com

Pietrasanta Vini d’Autore. Pietrasanta, Chiostro di Sant’Agostino, Piazza Duomo. 70 winemakers, more than 350 wines from all Italian regions, old vintages, food selection. www.pietrasantavini.it

Radda nel Bicchiere. Radda in Chianti, main street of the town. The annual wine tasting event, best Chianti wines. www.raddanelbicchiere.net

Open Cellars. All Italy, different winemakers. This national event takes place every year on the last weekend of May. Open Cellars is the most important wine tourism event in Italy since 1993. www.movimentoturismovino.it

Calici in Piazza. Arcille (Grosseto). Tasting of local products, stalls of artisans, photo exhibition, various attractions, music and more.

JUNE

Mostra del Chianti. Montespertoli, main square. One of the oldest food and wine shows in the region. www.mostradelchianti.it

I Profumi di Lamole. Greve in Chianti. The exhibition of wines of Greve in Chianti. The protagonist of the festival is the wine of Lamole, a fruity and aromatic wine.

JULY

Jazz and Wine. Montalcino, Fortezza di Montalcino. Some of the greatest interpreters of the jazz, beautiful fourteenth-century fortress of Montalcino, prestigious wines of Montalcino. www.prolocomontalcino.com

SEPTEMBER

Expo of Chianti Classico. Greve in Chianti, main square. The historic annual meeting of Chianti winemakers, degustations and awards. www.expochianticlassico.com

Vino al Vino. Panzano in Chianti, main square. Every year on the third weekend of September the vintners of Panzano meet in the village square to show their wines. www.vinoalvinopanzano.com

Festa dell‘Uva. Scansano (Grosseto). During the event the historic cellars will be open to the public and there will be many activities such as craft markets, workshops, children’s entertainment, concerts, dancing, parade of floats and much more.

Assedio alla Villa. Poggio a Caiano (Prato), villa. Every year, in the third weekend of September, is staged the reenactment at the Villa Medici with food stalls and traditional distribution of wine. www.assedioallavilla.it

Festa dell‘Uva. Impruneta, main square. The Grape Festival started in 1926, and is probably the most popular annual event in Impruneta both for natives and tourists. www.lafestadelluva.it
