Best Tuscan beaches. Giglio Island

The biggest beaches of Giglio island are Campese, Cannelle, Arenella and Caldane. They are all free and reachable with a car except for Caldane, which can be reached on foot only (walk of approx. 1 km) or by boat. At all four beaches, umbrellas and lounge chairs are available for hire. Some enchanting smaller beaches and wonderful coves are accessible only by boat or on foot along the pathways.

Spiaggia del Campese. The beach of Campese is the largest beach of the island and the most important tourist resort. It has a long and wide sandy shore, reaches quickly a depth of 1 to 1,5 m. Service available: bar, restaurant, beach services, diving center, boat rental.

Spiaggia delle Cannelle. The beach of Cannelle is the second- largest beach of Giglio island. It offers a fine white sand and gently sloping sea. The shallow waters are ideal for children. Unfortunately tends to be very overcrowded during the high season. Services available: bar, restaurant, beach services, boat rental.

Spiaggia dell’Arenella. The beach of Arenella is located near Giglio Porto village and is the third-largest beach of Giglio island. The beach is very scenic, immersed in tropical colors and cristaline waters. Services available: bar, beach services, boat rental.

Spiaggia delle Caldane. The beach of Caldane is the smallest beach of Giglio island. It is located south of the beach of Cannelle and it is accessible only by boat or on foot. Framed by granite rocks with golden sand the beach remained wonderfully wild despite the beach service during the high season. Service available: beach services.

With the boat it is possible to reach other small beaches or coves like Cala del Saracino, Cala dello Smeraldo, Punta Capo Marino, Pozzarello, Petruso, Scalettino, Il Picione, Cala di mezzo and many other wonderful places.
