The Association is based in Palazzo Vecchio in Florence which, for over seven centuries, has been a symbol of civic power in the city of Florence. The Museo dei Ragazzi uses fashions from the fifteenth to the sixteenth centuries in Florence to explain that historical era. Friendly staff of the Museum offers a variety of recreational and educational activities for children (in Italian, English, French and Spanish). Among them – frescoe paintings, guided tours by Giorgio Vasari, the secret corridors and rooms, theater shows and many others.
The villa, which was once Stibbert’s home, has 57 rooms that exhibit all of his collections from around the world. Most of the walls are covered in leather and tapestries and the rooms are crowded with artifacts. Paintings are displayed throughout every room, including still lifes and portraits. There is also valuable furniture, porcelains, Tuscan crucifixes, Etruscan artifacts, and an outfit worn by Napoleon I of France.
Football Museumwas founded to represent all things related to the world and culture of football, including its uniforms, economics, politics and important historical events. Relics, documents, and pubblications related to the history of football and especially to the victories of theItalian National team in the World Cups of 1934-1938-1982-2006.
Pinocchio Park is located in the old town of Collodi, Carlo Collodi mother’s home, where the writer spent a lot of happy childhood days with grandparents who lived in Villa Garzoni. The town, situated on a green hill seems asleep in time: old houses, cobbled streets, as several hundred years ago. The Pinocchio park is full of unusual big and small buildings, sculptures, hidden in the lushy vegetation of the park. There is always art exhibitions, Pinocchio making laboratories, performances and concerts for children.
Parco Pitagora is concidered as a largest amusement park in Northern Tuscany (in the so-called Versilia coast zone). The park is situated in greenbelt area and can offer a lot of fun, even for the youngest, because here in rides and ultra-modern and adapted for young children (among them – the carousel, inflatable rides, baby cart, trains and many others). For teenagers – ice skating, basketball, handball and football camps. From October to March, park moves in an enclosed space, so it can entertain all year round.
Near Populonia and Volterra, just a few steps away from the sea coast, there is one of the most famous amusement parks and attractions in Tuscany. Here you can find everything – Colorado River rafting, Adventure Safaris, Wild West, Pirate Bay, Fabulous Ship, Mickey Zoro train others. There is also Movie Stars Theatre, 4D cinema, Snow Arena, panoramic lift, make-up studio. And after many entertainments you can relax in restaurants and pizzerias, or organize a picnic.
If you like to ride your bike there no better place than Ciclilandia. This huge park represents the best area where cicling is a pleisure and thanks to the many bars and children spaces with games and funny tours, you will spend a totally different day involved by nature and fun.
Il Giardino dei Tarocchi or The Garden of Tarot is a sculpture garden based on the esoteric tarot created by the French artist Niki de Saint Phalle (1930–2002) in Pescia Fiorentina. Niki de Saint Phalle was inspired by the famous spanish architect Gaudí and the Parc Guell in Barcelona. Sculptures are created from cement, covered with colorful mosaics of Murano glass and ceramics.
Maremma dei Cowboy is a huge natural area in southern part of the coast of Tuscany, with free wild animals, birds and many species of plants. It has a lot of cognitive trails for pedestrians, bicyclists, for mounted.
The most beautiful Tuscan valley – Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers the unique possibility to know it better traveling on a historic steam train. This is an impressive entertainment not only for children but also for their parents. Steam train passes 140 km thouth the valley and gives the opportunity to admire the wonderful landscape. It‘s easy to match the journey by train with a variety of festivals taking place in the suroundings, trekking tours, bike tours, etc.
